The only restaurant in the village is the “Ristorante Pizzo Forno,” which we should point out has nothing to do with “Pizza al Forno”. It is run by Giorgio and Elvira, two long-time residents who have been running the business for many years. The kitchen is not always open, so it is advisable to contact them directly in advance and ask: Italian is strongly recommended and welcome > “buongiorno, é possibile mangiare qualcosa? …grazie” 😉 There are no shops in the village. The nearest place to shop is Faido (15 minutes by car), Migros, Coop, Denner. At Inlakech, we have created a small “emergency” supply (pasta, sauce, and risotto) for those staying at our facility.

If you are coming from the north, we recommend checking the traffic situation in the Gotthard Tunnel first to avoid hours of traffic jams. You can find information and webcams showing the current situation here. From the Faido motorway exit, turn right towards Lavorgo. After passing Lavorgo Station and the railway underpass, take the first right up to Chironico. Ten minutes later, you will arrive at the main parking lot in the boulder area.

We recommend using the SBB mobile app, which allows you to purchase tickets and provides detailed travel information. From Lavorgo station, take the bus to Chironico. The bus ride takes 15 minutes, and you can purchase your ticket using the SBB mobile app. Here is the bus timetable for Lavorgo to Chironico Paese. Please note that the last bus from Lavorgo leaves at 6:37 p.m., so please plan accordingly.
